Cam pic of the week...

Here's just a favorite pic of Cam from this week...

Cammy starts food...

We've started Cam on food and he seems excited about it, though we've learned despite his usual laid back nature his a very intense eater and he gets really mad if we're not going fast enough or if we happen to run out of something he's eating and he'd like more. He seems to like bananas best so far followed by carrots....he's not so fond of the peas. Tan's decided we should make him a banana chocolate cake for his birthday. He also really likes to negotiate the spoon himself...so it's a very messy ordeal with both he and I working our own spoons and trying to get food in his mouth.

Art....

Tan's continues to be my little artist. We try and have art day once a week and he goes crazy, making project after project for as long as we can do it while Cam naps. Here are some of his latest projects...a fish with "big teeth" and a turtle with a button shell that had to have "lots of hair."

Dandelion Greens...

Ever since I taught Tan about eating dandelion greens a few days ago, he has been on a mission to collect more and more dandelion greens for our salads/soup/pasta each day. Every time a turn around he's collecting more dandelion greens. He's a man on a mission. And he's so excited to eat them in his food too (bonus!!!). Here are some pictures of Tan and the dandelions.

Major garden overhaul....

We've been majorly reworking our gardens this spring. A few owners back our home had some very talented gardeners, but by the time we moved in it was a big jungle out there. Mike's taken on the project, bless his heart, and he's been going at it like crazy in every free moment. Tan's enjoyed helping him out - especially with watering and carting around stuff in his little wheel barrow, and Cam just loves getting in the garden and checking out the plants. Here are a few pictures of the boys in the garden. (I tried to take some pictures of the gardens themselves, but it's really hard to capture, much better first hand. Unfortunately we didn't get any before pictures so it's hard to get a sense for it).

Jill's birthday....

Geemie and Poppa and Tan planned a little surprise party last weekend to celebrate my birthday, complete with balloons, hats, noise makers, and cake....which was so sweet and so nice. Thanks so very much you guys. Tan had a little trouble keeping the secret though and kept telling me about how there was something that he couldn't tell me and he could only tell Daddy....something about a cake...and a surprise party....whoops! (Those are pretty much his words exactly!) It was really funny. Here we are in our party hats.

Pull-up buddies...

Here's a picture of Tan and his good buddy Ethan. Tan was excited that Ethan was wearing the same "Lightening McQueen" pull-up that he was the last day they got together...so here they are, wearing their matching pull-ups:)

Tan and Cam....

Here's a couple more attempts of some pictures of Tanner and Cammy. Tan's been really being a great big brother to Cammy lately...sharing his toys, looking out for him, getting him his toys when he drops them, trying to make him happy (rocking him, talking to him) when he's out of sorts. It's very cute and very sweet. Yay Tanner...you're doing a great job buddy and we're proud of you:)

Mother's Day weekend....

Here's a few pictures from last weekend - this first is of Tan and Poppa dressed up for Mother's Day brunch at Mary's Restaurant. We all ate way to much of the amazing food at Mary's and had a great time. It was so great having Mom and Dad with us this year...and just awesome having them with us for the weekend. Tan just loved having Geemie and Poppa here and they took him on many great adventures, the highlight for Tanner being truck day in Vergennes, where Tan (in typical Tanner fashion) locked himself in one of the big trucks and had to be rescued through a window by one of the organizers!

Go fish...

Here's a picture of Tan and Mike playing Tan's new favorite game - go fish. It's very cute to watch him play. He's really got his numbers down. This was the first time he tried playing on his own and he did really well.

Awesome Turkey Season for Mike

Mike had an incredible Turkey season....he got two good birds a Jake and a big gobbler (his biggest yet), had several great hunts and called in another big gobbler for a good buddy of his. Tan got to go out scouting with Mike for the first time this year and really enjoyed it. He kept telling Mike how he wanted a turkey fan for his wall, and Mike was able to come through with one for him!!!!!
