Happy boy....

Here's some pictures of Tanner in the pack 'n play a few days ago. I was singing and playing with him while I got dressed and he was all smiles. In the past week he's started to try keeping the beat with me to music and been facinated with the actions to songs, jumping in on the ones he knows. So much fun!

Peek-a-boo!

This is one of Tanner's latest favorite games...for the past 2-3 weeks he's been loving the curtains. He hides himself behind them and loves when we pretend that we can't find him...and then he'll pop out with big smiles!!!! It's very fun!

Climbing...

Tanner's been really into climbing for a while now...but as of a week ago he can climb up all the stairs on his own from the basement! It's very cool. Here's one of his climbing adventures!

Picnic with Dad...

Mike was able to come for lunch on Thursday and it was another gorgeous day...so we had a picnic lunch in the back yard, and then Mike shot his bow. (I got to shoot mine earlier in the day!). Tanner desperately wanted the cut veggies so we settled on letting him chew on a tomato which he was happy about:)

Tanner and Daisy...

Here are a series of pictures I took early in Sept. (I actually forgot I even took them til I found them today). We were playing on the porch with pots and pans, but as it turned out I caught some cute ones of Daisy and Tanner interacting. I also made some homemade bubble mix so that we could blow bubbles, and Tanner was at an age where this facinated him...though I think he got frusterated that he could never quite get the bubbles....

Away for our anniversary...

Here's some pictures from our get-away to this amazing old camp in the Adirondacks this past weekend. We ate delicious food and went canoeing and boating and walking in the woods...and there was this amazing guitar player in the evenings that Tanner loved, who would play this special song for him which was really sweet.

Mike passes his CFP!

We just found out that Mike passed his CFP after 2 years of hard work. We're SO excited for him and just wanted to share the news. We had a little party to celebrate today. Mike was not thrilled about wearing the crown I made him, but he humored me and wore it for dinner!!! Tanner loved it though and in these pictures it's the crown he's smiling at!
I think he wants one!!!!

At the farm...

Here's a picture of Tanner looking at a sunflower we picked at the farm today when we went to pick up our veggies. We just started a Mom and baby swim class today in Burlington and he LOVED it. He loved chatting and smiling (in his little babbles) at the other babies and playing ball with a little girl he met in the class (they were pushing the ball back and forth to each other and he really liked that). He also loved splashing and playing in the water. It was a blast...so much fun.

Night out at A & W...

Here's dinner out at A & W in Middlebury last week. It was our last trip to A & W of the season...it closed for the season this past weekend which reminds us that summer really is coming to a close. Tanner loved hanging out of the window and smiling and chatting to the waitresses and other customers. One very nice lady even brought her puppy over for him to see as he was so excited about it and was trying to call to it across the parking lot...

Goose season opens...

Well, goose season opened last Tuesday and Daisy is excited to be back in the field (of course Mike is too!). Mike, his friend Dave, and Daisy had a great hunt one of the first mornings of the season, and even called in this amazing neck banded goose. Here are some pics.

Labour Day on Lake Dunmore...

We went out for our last swim of the season today on Lake Dunmore...and even Oogie wanted to be a part of it. He wanted the water so badly he launched himself head first over the side several times and it was all we could do to hang onto his feet while he splashed his hands around. As usual he loved touching the fish, feeling the water and driving the boat!!!! Check out how serious he is as he helps Mike to drive the boat!!! The boy has some serious heart!!!! And he won't let bumps or bruises hold him back from whatever he's trying to do!!!!

Mike's BIG fish...

Here's Mike with a big, 6 lb largemouth bass he caught yesterday on Lake Champlain. A pretty darn big fish for the north. He spent the day fishing with his friend Sean.
