Castillo family canoe trip....

Here's pictures from our over-night canoe trip last weekend. We all had a great time and it was so nice to get back to canoe tripping and do it as a family. As you can see, Beary had to come along, but we think he had a good time too!!!

Tan and his good friend Ethan....

Here's Tan and Ethan playing this afternoon at our house. The boys have been good friends since they were really small and always love seeing each other. They are very cute together.

Riding his tricycle....

Here's Tan on his tricycle before going for a ride.....as you can tell he loves it!!!! Naturally he can't peddle yet, but we push him and he rings the bell!

Playing with Miles at Shelburne Farms....

We went to Shelburne Farms this week with our good friends Kate and Miles. They're just back from 3 weeks in Spain and so we haven't been able to see them in a while and it was wonderful to have them back. Here are some pictures of the boys playing. Tan LOVED Shelburne farms....especially all the animals, and we were running back and forth between them to visit them all. They also have a great play room that the boys loved.

Doing the hay bale slide....

Here are some pictures of Tan and Owen playing this week. They just hayed the Frizzel's fields, and so Tan and Owen were loving climbing high on the hay bales and then sliding down (with our help of course). They also had fun playing in the stream as they often do.

Little Texan....

Tan found my cowboy hat when I was cleaning up last week, and immediately fell in love with it and wore it around much of the afternoon. I snapped this quick picture.

Father's Day Shin-dig!

Here's a couple of pictures of our second annual father's day shin-dig! A day of fishing for Mike and a few friends followed by a big bbq with all the families at our house. A fun tradition. Of course we didn't get many pictures as we were busy entertaining and having fun, but Mike happened to snap these ones of Tanner and Owen playing in the boat at the bbq, and our friend Travis catching a fish during the fishing part of the day:)

Picnic at the East Middlebury Park with Alicia and Owen

We had a picnic and playdate at the East Middlebury Park with our friends Alicia and Owen on Friday. Here are a couple of pictures.

Playing with our good friends Liz and Ethan....

Here are some pictures I took today over at Liz's. Ethan and Tan were born only a couple of weeks apart and they've been friends since they were only about 6 weeks old, when Liz and I started getting them together:) They're very cute together. And of course I love seeing Liz too as she's a good friend of mine:)

A Weekend at our Traditonal Rendez-Vous:)

Here are some pictures from our weekend at the Green Mountain Traditional Bowhunters rendez-vous:) As president of GMTB, Mike does a lot for the shoot, and it's always a ton of fun. It was a fabulous family camping weekend with a great group of people, and the shoot itself was amazing.

Our gardens - finally in!!!

I finally got our gardens in this past weekend - a small herb garden, a small veggie garden, a garden for annual flowers and I also got our perennial garden all fixed up. Here are some pictures.

Tan likes to help me pick out the weeds and water the plants:)

Fingerpainting....

Here's Tan playing with his fingerpaints last week....

More fun with Owen and Alicia....

Our good friends Alicia and Owen invited us over last week to visit their neighbour's farm and play in their creek....here are some pictures. I always forget to bring my camera on playdates and was excited to have finally remembered to bring it this time. Here are some pictures of Tanner and Owen.

Memorial Day.....

Here's some pictures of the Vergennes Memorial Day parade which is the biggest Memorial Day parade in Vermont and is always a lot of fun. Michael and Lynn always have a big bbq at Mike's office and we all watch the parade from the front lawn as it's right on Main Street. It's a fun tradition....
