Cross country skiing...

We've been getting out cross country skiing a bunch the last couple of weeks. Tanner can't take it for too too long as he get's cold (being that he's not moving like us), but he has fun and giggles during the down hills which is very cute and fun.....and we've been remembering how much we love cross country skiing as we didn't get to do too much of it last year:) Here's a picture....

Bath time!

Here's a recent picture of bath time!

Family yoga:)

Here's Tanner during one of our family yoga sessions....mostly he just plays around us - crawling under us and over us - but he's started to imitate some of the poses on and off which is really cute and fun.

Hanging out with Daisy...in her kennel!!!!

Well....Tanner has discovered Daisy's kennel! It's always been a highlight for older kids who come into our house (I think it just is a great size for a fort). Anyways....Tanner loves climbing in with her now and hanging out in there with her. He even tries to shut the door! It's very cute.

Daddy's little helper....

Here's Tanner helping Mike while he was trying to do a bit of work from home during the snow days last week....

Our big snowstorm....

Here's a pictures of the big snowstorm we had here in the northeast this week. It was actually really fun, and so nice....all the neighbours pitching in to help one another. School, work and everything else shut down for a few days.

Dancing with streamers....

We were dancing to Mozart with streamers the other night which was super fun, and Tanner was getting really into it with me. He preferred my streamers which are a little long for him as you can see:) Dad was taking pictures and videoing. We need to make him some streamers of his own so he can dance with us next time:)

Making towers....

Here's a picture of one of our latest favorite activities....building towers as high as we can go with the mega blocks Aunt Jean and Uncle Mike got Tan for Christmas (thank you guys!) and then driving the mega blocks around in the very cool mega blocks truck from Grandma and Grandpa:) Thanks so much everyone! It's a very fun activity to see how high we can build it until it topples over! We often do it as a family and have a rule that no blocks that go on can come off again....we just have to work with whatever we've got and everyone's blocks have to be included wherever the get put:)

Sledding....

After a week of colds and flu, we just needed to get out for a little bit of sledding over the weekend to lift our spirits and get some fresh air...so we bundled up and out we went. Here we are!!!

Making music with Dad...

Here's more pictures of Tanner playing guitar with Mike at what seems to be becoming our weekly music night! Note that his favorite position is standing on the music book which does make things a little complicated....but there's always a way around it...and he loves it and so do we!!!

Premiere of Grandma's latest movie.....

Grandma's latest movie arrived from Texas, and we had the premiere viewing over the weekend which we all loved. Thanks so much Mom and Jen for doing this for us. For those of you who don't know....Grandma has a very special way of connecting with Tanner even with the many miles between us. She sends us videos from Texas of her (and this time Aunt Jenny too) reading these wonderful books they've found for Tanner....and they send us the books too to keep. It's so wonderful and we love it....and so does Tanner....and we watch them all the time to connect with Grandma. This time Snicker's (Tanner's favorite cat) also appeared on screen which he loved too!!!

Fred Flinstone....

Here's Tanner scooting around the kitchen last night in Daisy's dish holder. He was moving around in it like he was driving a car. I had to take a picture because for some reason I couldn't help but think he looked like Fred Flinstone driving his prehistoric vehicle.

Helping Dad play the guitar....

Mike finally got his guitar out - it's been packed away for quite some time and he was inspired by the kids music book he got from Mom Castillo for Christmas. It was so much fun to have it out and to sing along....and hopefully this is just the beginning of lots of fun times with the guitar. Here's Tanner helping Mike play!

Riding his zebra....

Here's a few pictures of Tan riding his zebra yesterday....I wasn't sure which one I liked best, so I thought I'd post them all:)

Using utensils...

In the past 3 weeks or so, Tanner has become really facinated in playing with utensils, and just last week started to poke food with his fork and bring it up to his mouth! So cool! He of course is very proud of his new skill! Here's Tan doing a similar thing with a spoon (he scoops at things and brings them to his mouth).

Still playing with Nan's famous edible playdough....

Well, we're still playing with the edible playdough from Nan and Pap's visit....and on Monday Tanner and I played with it for over half and hour....he was so into pounding and playing with it. In the end (after tasting it) he decided it was quite the delicacy and was trying to sneak bites of it without me seeing in between playing. We made shapes with the cookie cutters which mysteriously disappeared and I later figured out that he snuck them to Daisy, who of course also loved them and was sniffing madly around the play table afterwards looking for scraps. Here's some pics...

Nan and Pap's visit....

Nan and Pap came down last weekend for a visit, and sent Mike and I off skiing while they did all kinds of wonderful things with Tanner. They made Valentine's cookies together for Mom and Dad, and played with edible playdough that Nan made for Tanner. They also took him sledding which of course he loved. Nan also brought some finger paints which they played with on Sunday....here's some pictures. Thanks for such a great visit Mom and Dad!

Already helping with chores!!!!

Tanner's taken quite a liking to sweeping! Here he is!
