Summer hikes....

We've been trying to get in some summer hikes and are hoping to climb Mt Abe by the end of the summer if we can get ourselves psyched for coaxing the kiddos up there as it's a pretty hefty climb with/for a 1 and 4 year old!!! Mt Philo, being right down the road, is an old stand by in the hiking department. A few weekends ago, Tan practically ran up the whole thing. It was all we could do to keep up with him!!! Was he motivated by the breakfast treats we brought???? Or the promise of picking raspberries on the way down???? Hmmm. In any event we were very proud of him. Not one complaint the whole way. Cam's turning out to be quite the little hiker too. He wants no part of the backpack though which makes more significant climbs a little tricky. But his stamina at 1 1/2 is impressive:)
