Welcoming Cameron John Castillo

After a challenging pregnancy we welcomed Cameron John Castillo into our family on December 21st at 5:57 pm. Solstice baby!!! The birth was extremely intense and scary....Cam was fine, but we ran into some serious complications during the C-Section and I lost a lot of blood and am still recovering from that. We are now home and recovering here and are so grateful to both of our Mom's who have helped us tirelessly during this process of bringing Cam into the world:) Cam is fair with blonde hair which is fun as he already has his own unique thing going on...he's also found his thumb which is very cute:) Here are some of the first pictures at the hospital and at home....a few are pre-delivery. We went into the process pretty calmly - Dr. Julia (who is incredible) even brought a CD of the Dalai Lama "Om" into surgery for me which was amazing - but unfortunately things got pretty complicated in the OR. We are very happy to be on the other side of things and to have baby Cam in our lives.
