Family vacation at Manitou 2008....

We had a fabulous family vacation up at Manitou in early July. Each year gets better and better with Tanner, and this year there wasn't enough hours in the day to do everything we all wanted to do and try. We went tubing, sailing, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, fishing, boating (driving fast, because that's Tanners favorite!) and of course did lots of swimming and playing on the beach. We also went on some adventures....a little canoe adventure to blueberry island for a picnic and some swimming, a hiking adventure up to the Miss Atwaters lake to pick wild strawberries and a driving adventure to a free range animal park over by Montebello. We had a great time and Tanner can't wait to get back up to Manitou. Mike was catching lots of smallmouth on a jerkbait (they've never gone for the jerkbait up there before, and this year they were pounding it) so that made him happy. I really enjoyed the sailing, canoeing/kayaking, and long distance swims...and of course the adventures all together!!! We also enjoyed the change in food - we always look forward to the different things we get at the food store when we go to Quebec that are just so different from home.
