Mike and Jill's trip to the Texas hill country...

While we were in Texas, Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Karen & Aunt Jenny looked after Tanner while we went away to the Texas hill country for 3 nights. It was amazing. Tanner had a great time and so did we:) We saw lots of animals up close - lots of deer, sandhill cranes, many exotic species from Africa which are free roaming down there.....it was awesome. We also ate lots of bbq (a Texas tradition), drank lots of sweet tea, enjoyed the big beautiful Texas sky and listened to lots of country music which we miss having more of in the north:) It was great! I got initiated into the world of west Texas and got stuck by my first cactus.....I'm sure it won't be the last time!!! Here are some pictures....
